Manish Malhotra graced the MET Gala 2025 carpet for the first time and aced the ‘Tailored For You’ dresscode with some desi dandyism.
Manish Malhotra attended the 2025 Met Gala celebrating Superfine: Tailoring Black Style at Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Manish Malhotra made his dazzling debut on the 2025 MET Gala carpet in one of his bespoke creations. Exuding desi, dapper dandyism, Manish Malhotra’s grand entry at the MET Gala left everyone stunned and surprised as the designer kept his appearance under wraps.
Exuding opulence and timeless allure in a versatile velvet coat with intricate threadwork. The heavily embroidered detailing in gold and silver celebrated Manish Malhotra’s love for Indian craftsmanship. Manish Malhotra as a designer has taken Indian fashion and celebrated it on various global platforms. From celebrities across the globe embracing India through his design language, it was a proud moment for the country to see Manish grace the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art stairs for the very first time.
Manish’s signature style was further enhanced with Manish Malhotra Jewellery pieces featuring a cluster of brooches crafted in gold and silver and accentuated with emeralds. Each brooch celebrated Manish’s creativity through the design and love for keeping it always glamorous.
The MET Gala 2025 dress code theme was Tailored for You, which was a nod to the MET Gala exhibition Superfine: Tailoring Black Styles. This year also saw Manish Malhotra design not one but two ensembles for entrepreneur Natasha Poonawalla and Grammy-winning singer Coco Jones.
Just like Manish, the MET Gala 2025 also marked Coco Jones’ debut who was thrilled to grace the event in one of Manish’s couture pieces. The pearl embellished ensemble looked stunning on Coco, who enjoyed the look as she walked up the iconic MET stairs.
The Empress of Indian Fashion Natasha Poonawalla reigned The Met Gala 2025 theme in a custom Manish Malhotra ensemble. A vision of dandyism woven with the heritage and legacy of Indian Gara embroidery, Natasha was draped in an exquisite fusion of armour, artistry, and ancestry.
Rooted in ornamentation, individuality, and subversive grace, Manish Malhotra captured the essence of Dandyism beautifully in all three creations.
MET Gala 2025 was celebrated by array of celebrities including Shah Rukha Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sabrina Carpenter, Demi Moore, Kiara Advani, Diljit Dosanjh, Zendaya, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Cardi B, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Lisa, Shakira among others.
